I read the book Pugsley by Ellen Miles .I think the theme for the book is if somethings cute it can also be naughty. A character trait for parsley is mischievous . I would have never guessed who would have adopted him.

I also read the book The Land Of Stories. The theme of that story is to have courage and believe in yourself. The evidence is that even though Conner and Alex fell into a book, got captured by trolls and goblins, almost eaten by stroll, and almost teared apart by The Big Bad Wolf Pack twice they knew that they were going to get home and always had courage

I read the book The Great Gilly Hopkins by Katherine Paterson. The theme of the book is Family because Gilly is a foster kid. One of the reasons is because she has to keep on moving from place to place, but she really just wants to be with her birth mom. However, she learns that she does not need to be blood related to someone to love them and call them family. When she gets to the Trotter's house (her foster family) she learns this. She has a brother who is a foster kid too. She learns that she is not the only one who wants to be with a birth mom.

In the month of February I read a book called Full House Michelle. This book is based on the TV show. The theme of this book is to never give up because,so many things are going wrong at her sleepover. She was trying to have a great sleepover like her older sister Stephanie did. At Michelle's sleepover she burned the pop corn, her friends were making a mess, she forgot to tell the pizza man her address so the pizza didn't come, and all her friends left but accept one. But,Michelle made the best out of it and still had a good time.

I read Lost and Found. The theme was friendship. A boy found a lost penguin and tried to bring him home to antarctica. He dropped him off with an umbrella after a long trip. I thought the boy and penguin would be happy but it turned out they weren't and wanted to be with each other. So the penguin tried to sail back to the boy on the umbrella and the boy came back to the penguin in his rowboat. They finally found each other. They realized friendship is more important than being alone.

I read Maggie Malone gets the Royal Treatment by Jenna McCarthy and Carolyn Evans. The theme was kindness and friendship. In the story Maggie uses her MMBs(mostly magical boots) and becomes princess Wilhelmina of Wincastle(princess Mimi) and she meets her evil cousin Penelope and they go to the wedding of the century. Penelope was so jealous of Mimi. At the wedding party Mimi lets Penelope wear the crown cape and lets her dance with prince Henry while Mimi rests which showed kindness. At the end of the book Lucy was being really mean to Maggie, Alicia, and Elizabeth (Maggie's friends) who are Lucy's handmaidens and they all get really mad when she fires them. Maggie sees Lucy's sister yelling at her to hurry with getting the car and she doesn't get there in time, so she just drove away. Lucy didn't know what to do, so Maggie goes over to her and asks her if she wanted to ride the bus with her to get home. I think that definitely showed kindness.
